Day Three Hundred and Sixty Five

I would like to thank everyone who supported me in this course of this crazy project (which actually took me 381 days). Every comment made me want to keep on going. Thank you to everyone who inspired me and gave me ideas. Thank you to Mary for helping me come up with the idea to start with. Most especially thanks to my amazing husband who listened, cheered and posed for this project and every day of the last 9 years. I love you baby.

Day 351 - My husband the genius!

So for some time we have been wanting to fence in the yard for the dog so they could have a safe place to play but we has some logistical problems. We got three sides fenced in perfectly but we selfishly did not want to loose the side garden and retaining wall. But my gifted husband came up with a great plan to make everyone happy! He found a retractable fence! And then he set out to set it up in a way that is secure for the dogs but not permanent so we can move it when we rebuild the deck. Here is what he came up with!

1. First he made forms out the MANY kitty litter buckets we have been hoarding in the basement. They are the perfect size, big enough to be solid but not so huge that we can't move them.
2. He made the worst popsicles ever! LOL The copper piper is the exact fit of the fence post but it won't be damaged by the cold and wet like wood would (get it Aimee? Wood would!)
3. The top end if the the fence post and the stick with be driven into the earth as a steak.
4. The kitty litter buckets didn't make it but at least with the new recycling rules we have put them in with our curb side pick up. So now they have been reused AND recycled.
5.The fence in it's dormant state. SO cool.
